Products

Three products I built outside client work.

How I stay hands-on: three recent products I built myself, outside client work.

Travelographer Photo Identifier on a phone: a close-up photo of a squirrel that the app marks Low Confidence as an unknown outdoor setting, explaining that the image lacks landmarks to pinpoint an exact locationTravelographer Photo Trails on a phone: a one-day Seattle trail with a route on the map, three spots, a Build with AI button and the first stop, the Space Needle, set for 6:30 PM with a golden hour countdown

Travelographer

A mobile field guide for photographers. Browse crowd-sourced photos of a place taken at different times of day and year, see the light, weather and crowds behind each one, and add the moments you want to a custom photo trail to visit.

One decision that shaped it: I use AI where it removes friction, not where it creates another interaction. Instead of a chatbot photographers have to engage with, the Photo Identifier turns a reference image into something actionable—where to stand, when to go, and how confident it is in the recommendation.

I envisioned, designed, and built it. Launched May 2026.

People of Akanksha

A living collection of stories from students, parents, teachers and staff at an education nonprofit in Pune, built after three days there with a camera.

How it started: Working with Akanksha’s communications team, I did many of the interviews and much of the photography, wrote or edited every story, and then conceived, designed and built the site.

Launched April 2026.

People of Akanksha home page on a phone: the title, a short description, and a colorful illustration of five peopleA People of Akanksha story on a phone: the alumna story “She Believed Before I Could”, with its title, byline and a portrait of the author against a painted school wall
A SATcrack tip on a phone: Backsolve from Answer Choices, with the strategy, a watch-out note, and tabs for Tip, Example and PracticeSATcrack practice on a phone: a starter question for the Backsolve strategy, with four answer choices

SATcrack

A free AI SAT coach for students prepping on a phone, ten minutes a day. I built it when my son was preparing for the SAT: practice tests were everywhere, but nothing showed a question, the strategy to solve it, and then let him practice that strategy. That loop is the product. It is free on purpose: my way of giving back to the next generation of students.

One decision that shaped it: strategy before practice. Each tip is a bite-sized SAT strategy, and Claude writes fresh practice questions and explanations live, so a student never runs out of questions to practice it on.

I envisioned, designed, and built it. Launched March 2026.

Every product came out of a real decision.
